US Airways Flight US-1540 , Boeing 737-400 from Houston to Charlotte with 122 passengers it was en route near Charlotte when one engine suffered a problem and had to shut down.The crew declared an emergency and landed safely with one engine at Charlotte Douglas airport.

One passenger reported that they were en route when they hear a loud bang and soon captain reported that as a precaution they will shut down engine
