Porter Air flight PD-122 , de Havilland DHC-8 from Newark Liberty airport to Toronto City airport it was approaching Toronto airport when the crew reported a flaps problem.The crew declared an emergency and asked to divert to Toronto Pearson's airport that has longer runway.Airplane after circled little bit landed safely on runway 05 at Pearson airport

 

On 25 October 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that Porter de Havilland DHC-8-400 registration C-GLQJ on approach to Billy Bishop the crew received a Flap Power caution indication. The crew aborted the approach and attempted a system reset. The reset was unsuccessful and a second approach was aborted. The aircraft diverted to Toronto Pearson airport and landed without incident with emergency services attending. Maintenance conducted a flap system function check and the aircraft was found serviceable.
