Cathay Pacific Airways has finalised an order with Airbus for 32 A321neo single-aisle aircraft. The aircraft will be operated by Cathay Dragon, the regional carrier of the Group, on services linking its Hong Kong home base with destinations across Asia. The purchase agreement firms up an MOU announced last month.

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has delivered the 1,500th 747 to come off the production line to Frankfurt, Germany-based Lufthansa. The milestone airplane is a 747-8 Intercontinental, the 14th one that Lufthansa will incorporate into its long-haul fleet.

Boeing, Turkish Airlines Finalize Order for 15 Additional 737 MAX 8s
Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Turkish Airlines today finalized an order for 15 additional 737 MAX 8s, valued at $1.6 billion at list prices. The order follows the announcement in May 2013 when the Turkish flag carrier placed the largest Boeing order in the airline's history for 50 737 MAXs and 20 Next-Generation 737s.

Boeing, Arke Celebrate Delivery of Airline's First 787 Dreamliner
Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Arke today celebrated the arrival of the airline's first 787-8 Dreamliner at the Dutch carrier's base at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The airplane departed Paine Field in Everett, Wash. on Wednesday on its delivery flight to the Netherlands. Arke is part of TUI Travel PLC, the largest tourism group in the world.

The newest member of the Airbus commercial aircraft family will be making its first airshow appearance at the 2014 Farnborough International Airshow taking place between 14-20th July.
The A350 XWB will take part in the flying and static display for the first part of the week while the A380 will be on display throughout the week.

Wizz Air, the largest Central and Eastern European low cost - low fare airline, has taken delivery from Airbus of its 50th A320 Airbus aircraft during a special ceremony in Toulouse, France, taking the total of its A320 fleet to 52. The carrier was one of the first Eastern European Airlines to take delivery of an A320 with Sharklet fuel saving wing tip devices in April 2013. Wizz Air, an all Airbus operator, has ordered a total of 112 aircraft.

Delta will grow its A320 Family with an order for 15 A321ceo (current engine option) aircraft to offset jet retirements. The airline has selected CFM56-5B engines from CFM International to power the newly ordered A321ceo aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery starting in 2018. CFM International is a 50/50 joint company between Snecma (Safran) and GE.

The European regional aircraft manufacturer ATR is proud to announce an outstanding order intake of over 100 firm ATR aircraft in the first four months of 2014. The ATR-600 series aircraft are leading the way among all regional aircraft. Since the beginning of the year, sales of new ATR -600s represent over 80% of total orders for regional aircraft below 90-seats announced so far. ATR’s commercial results achieved in the first four months of the year already surpassed outcomes of the whole 2013 with firm orders for 89 ATR -600s.

Bombardier Aerospace today unveiled the first of 30 enhanced CRJ900 NextGen aircraft ordered by American Airlines Group Inc. in December 2013. The purchase agreement also included options on an additional 40 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. The aircraft was unveiled to American Airlines employees and the media during a celebratory event today at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and will be showcased tomorrow in Dayton, Ohio, to team members at American Airlines Group’s ’ wholly owned subsidiary, PSA Airlines, Inc. PSA Airlines will operate the 30 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft under the American Eagle brand.

Boeing [NYSE: BA] and EVA Air today celebrated the airline's first double delivery as the airline received its 16th and 17th 777-300ER (Extended Range) airplanes. Taiwan-based EVA Air will be the first airline in the world to operate 777-300ERs with Panasonic's complete state-of-the-art eX3 in-flight entertainment system.

Boeing [NYSE: BA] celebrated a milestone achievement today on the 737 MAX program, surpassing the 2000th order for the super-efficient single-aisle airplane. With the addition of 30 orders from unidentified customers this week, the 737 MAX now has a total of 2,010 orders from 39 customers worldwide, valued at $209 billion at list prices. The 737 MAX also has commitments for more than 250 additional airplanes.

South Korea’s Asiana Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A380, becoming the eleventh operator of the type in the world. The A380 was handed over to Park Sam Koo, Chairman of Kumho Asiana Group, by Fabrice Brégier, Airbus President and CEO, during a special ceremony today in Toulouse, France.
