Saturday 10th March 2012 saw the world's largest airplane land at Glasgow Prestwick International to pick up what looked like a BIG blue generator - must have been heavy and in a hurry to be somewhere!

Lufthansa's very first Boeing 747-8i (D-ABYA) lands on a stormy day in Düsseldorf. It's the first landing of the new 747-8 overall in DUS. As you can see the approach was very fast so the aircraft did need the whole runway to stop. This flight was for promotional reasons to welcome the new aircraft in Lufthansa's fleet. D-ABYA continued the flight to Hamburg after a night stop.
