Virgin Atlantic flight VS-25 , Airbus A330 registration G-VRAY from London to New York it was en route at cruising altitude FL340 near Canada Gander when the crew reported a fuel leak.The crew declared an emergency and diverted to Gander airport on runway 21 for a safe landing

 

On 13 September 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that the flight it was en route at cruising altitude when the crew noticed a discrepancy in fuel quantity between right and left wing tanks with less fuel in right wing(airplane lost 11.5 tones of fuel).They suspected a fuel leak so they shut down the right hand engine declared an emergency and diverted to Gander for a safe landing.Maintenance identified that the fuel feed pipe to fuel pump on nr2 engine was holed/cracked under the 'P' clip. The pipe and clip were replaced and aircraft was returned to service.
