Air Canada flight ACA-404 Airbus A320 from Toronto Pearson's airport to Montreal took off from Toronto airport and was climbing at FL200 45nm east from Toronto when the crew reported smoke inside cabin.The crew declared an emergency and diverted back to Toronto for a safe landing on runway 24R

 

On 13 September 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that airplane it was en route when received a Flap/slat #2 fault.While the crew was dealing with this problem in the aft galley the cabin crew reported a significant potable hot water leak.The crew declared an emergency and diverted to Toronto.Maintenance cleared the Slat/flap #2 system fault by re-setting the #2 SFCC (Slat Flap Control Computer). In the aft galley a pipe had burst which allowed the hot water to leak. The pipe was replaced and the aircraft was returned to service after the defects were cleared.
