Atlasjet flight KK-45 , Airbus A321 from Bodrum to Istanbul took off from Bodrum but struck a bird causing the left engine to explode and had to shut down.The crew declared an emergency and diverted to Izmir for a safe landing
Passengers reported that the left engine had a large explosion and they saw also flames coming out from the engine and after that inside cabin it was smell of smoke
