Air Canada flight ACA-146 , Airbus A319 from Calgary to Toronto took off Calgary airport and was climbing at FL220 and 45nm east of Calgary when the crew reported electrical problems.The crew declared an emergency and diverted back to Calgary airport for a safe landing on runway 34
On 22 October 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that Airbus A319 registration C-FYJI climbing through FL210 , 70nm east of Calgary the crew experienced multiple electric system failures on two occasions.The crew declared a PAN and diverted to Calgary airport for an overweight landing.Company maintenance replaced the #1 Generator Control Unit and carried out ground run and operational tests of AC Essential Generator Switching, Electrical Power Integrity and IDG loading. The aircraft has been returned to service with no recurrence of this type of event.
