On 30 October 2013 the Canadian TSB reported:The Federal Express A310-324, registered N809FD, was in cruise on a ferry flight from Memphis, TN to Anchorage, AK. The crew noticed an indication for decreasing oil quantity in the #1 engine (Pratt & Whitney PW4152). After conferring with maintenance, the crew elected to divert before flying over high terrain en-route to Anchorage. They chose Edmonton, AB as this is a FedEx Airbus destination airport and would be able to provide full ground and maintenance services. Upon configuration for landing, the crew received an flap fault. They landed with a slats extended/no flaps configuration. As a precaution, the crew declared an emergency for the abnormal landing configuration. Maintenance determined that the flap problem was a torque limiter and it has been corrected. The oil indication was a faulty pump, and it is being replaced.
