Bearskin Airlines flight JV-311 , Swearingen SA227-AC Metro III registration C-FFZN from Sioux Lookout to Red Lake Canada with 5 passengers and 2 crew members it was approaching Red Lake airport runway 26 when airplane impacted power lines/poles crashed short of runway and caught fire.3 passengers and 2 pilots were killed.The 2 other passengers escaped with injures but non-fatal
One male passengers that he was siting on rear place of airplane after crash he escaped from airplane and also helped a woman that was siting near him to get free from airplane and after called the police.Both passengers received non fatal injuries
At the time of accident it was little snow , winds about 10 knts , visibility 8 miles
On 13 November 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that C-FFZN was conducting an area navigation (RNAV) runway 26 approach into Red Lake airport and reported ULOTU final at approximately 0027Z. Shortly thereafter, the aircraft declared an emergency, followed by a Mayday. Airport staff vehicle reported to have observed the aircraft crash south of the airfield in the vicinity of the non-directional beacon (NDB) striking a power line.
On 27 November 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that airport maintenance staff observed C-FFZN initiate a missed approach and then commence a left turn descending into the trees. Staff reported downed C-FFZN south of the field in the vicinity of NDB Tower.
