Air Canada flight AC-450 , Airbus A319 registration C-FZUG from Toronto to Ottawa it was descending to approach Ottawa airport when the crew reported smoke in the cabin.The crew declared an emergency and landed safely on runway 07 with emergency servises stand by.After checks on runway airplane taxied to the gated and deplanned normally
On 6 December 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that the Air Canada Airbus A319-100 aircraft (ACA450, C-FZUG) was on route when traces of smoke were observed emanating from the armrest audio jack of a seat. The In Flight Entertainment (IFE) system was shutdown for the remainder of the flight. ARFF was standing by for the uneventful landing. The aircraft stopped on the runway and after ARFF inspected the aircraft it taxied to the gate. Maintenance replaced the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) on the armrest of the seat.
