UPS Airbus A300-600 registration N155UP cargo flight 5X-1354 from Louisville to Birmingham with 2 crew members on board it was approaching Birmingham runway 18 when 0.8nm from runway threshold airplane crashed with ground killing both crew members

on 14 August 2013 NTSB reported that the airplane touched down with 3 impact points until to come in final position and hit many trees on the top

 

on 15 August 2013 NTSB reported that black boxes recovered and preliminary investigation it is showing that engines it was working normal and airport's runway lights also was working

 

on 16 August 2013 NTSB reported that according to black boxes the captain it was pilot flying(8600 hours total flight) and the first officer pilot monitoring(6500 hours total).2 min before the impact the crew received clearance to land on runway 18. 16 sec before the impact sounded the GPWS "Sink Rate". 13 sec before the impact sounded from pilot "runway in sight".9 sec before the impact began the first touch with trees(sound of impact)

 

on 17 August 2013 NTSB reported that engines were working normal autopilot it was engaged until the end of recording and speed it was 140 knts as was selected by autothrottle system.The "sink rate" alert also confirmed.At the end PAPI system was working also without problem
