Westjet flight WJA-193 , Boeing 737-700 from Regina to Calgary took off from Regina airport and shortly after declared an emergency reporting gear problems.The crew decided to divert to Saskatoon airport for a safe landing
On 29 November 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that the Westjet Boeing 737-700, C-FXWJ, Flt WJA193, departed CYQR, Regina. After the landing gear was selected up, the indication was three red and three green. The crew completed the Gear Disagree Non-Normal checklist but were unable to retract the landing gear. An emergency was declared with ATC. The crew elected to divert to CYXE, Saskatoon due to weather considerations. The subsequent landing was uneventful with ARFF in attendance. Maintenance personnel determined that a manual extension limit switch was at fault due to debris build-up. The switch was replaced and the landing gear was tested serviceable. The aircraft was returned to service and an SDR was submitted.
