Air Canada flight ACA-125 , Airbus A320 from Toronto to Calgary took off from Toronto airport and was climbing through 8000 feet when the crew reported that the generator had failed , declared an emergency and requested to divert back to Toronto airport with emergency services stand by.Airplane after entered some hold landed safely back to Toronto airport on runway 23
On 22 October 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that Air Canada A320 registration C-FDRH during departure the #2 generator failed. The flight crew declared a PAN PAN and returned to Toronto. The aircraft landed without further incident. Maintenance subsequently replaced the integrated drive generator (IDG), generator control unit (GCU) and #1 Bus Tie contractor.
