Monarch flight 239 , rejected take off

Monarch flight ZB-239 , Airbus A320 registration G-OZBB from Lanzarote Spain to London Gatwick it was accelerating for take off on runway 03 and it was with high speed when the airplane suffered an engine problem and the crew rejected the take off.Airplane stopped on runway and returned to the apron.

Passengers reported that after airplane stopped the captain announced to them the problem and said they were lucky that airplane didn't go airborne
