WestJet flight WS-2506 , Boeing 737-800 registration C-FAWJ from Toronto to Punta Cana Dominican Republic it was en route at FL350 and near destination when the crew reported a landing gear warning light indication.The crew advised the tower and decided to divert to Nassau Bahamas for a safe landing on runway 32

Some sources reported that before diversion the crew received a smoke light indication in the cockpit

The airline reported that the airplane diverted to Nassau as a precaution due to a warning light in the cockpit

Airport police authorities reported that the pilot reported a landing gear warning and asked to divert to Nassau

On 28 October 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that airplane it was en route at FL350 when the crew received a wheel well fire indication.The crew declared an emergency and diverted to Nassau for a safe landing.After checks they found a faulty wheel well overheat/fire detection loop to be the cause of indication
