ExpressJet flight 4237 , flaps problem

ExpressJet flight EV-4237 , Embraer ERJ-145 registration N16151 from Chicago to Toronto it was on final approach descending through 6800 feet when the crew reported a flaps problem.The crew declared an emergency entered a hold at 8000 feet for work with checklists and after landed safely at Toronto airport 30 mins from the time that declared emergency.

On 1 November 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that the crew received a flap fail message and declared an emergency. The aircraft landed without further incident with ARFF standing by. Maintenance at Toronto could not duplicate the problem. The aircraft was ferried to Louisville McGhee Tyson (KTYS) for further inspection.
