On 8 November 2013 the Canadian TSB reported that the crew declared an emergency while inbound to Vancouver due to a loss of the number 1 hydraulic quantity, affecting normal brake systems and flaps. Emergency braking was available. Due to fog in Vancouver, the flight was diverted to Victoria, where the aircraft landed without further incident. Maintenance staff determined that a failure of the ‘Flight Spoiler Pressure Switch’ O-Ring had resulted in the loss of fluid. The O-Ring was replaced and the aircraft returned to service after system bleeding, leak and functional testing
