Qantas flight 1091 , cockpit windshield cracked

Qantas flight QF-1091 , Boeing 737-800 registration VH-XZH from Newman to Redcliffe ,Perth airport Austalia took off from Newman airport and was climbing through FL300 when the crew reported a cockpit cracked windshield.The crew put their oxygen masks declared an emergency and after made a rapid descent to 10000 feet diverted back to Newman airport for a safe landing

Airline confirmed the incident and reported that only the inner layer from windshield cracked.The external layer and the middle vinyl layer were unaffected
